Each day you get 5 emoji. When one appears, you have 3 seconds to make that face. Your iPhone scores the match from 0 to 100 — entirely on your device. Share your photo strip, or share just the score grid if you'd rather keep your face to yourself.
Where do my photos go?
Nowhere. Face tracking and photos are processed on your device only. Nothing is uploaded. A photo leaves your phone only if you tap share yourself.
Why does MIMIC need the camera?
The front camera powers the face scoring. That's the whole game. No camera, no MIMIC.
How is my face scored?
Your iPhone's face tracking measures how closely your expression matches the target emoji — eyes, brows, mouth, even your tongue.
I lost my streak!
Play once per calendar day (local time) to keep it alive. Streak freezes are coming in a future update.
Which devices are supported?
iPhones with a TrueDepth front camera (iPhone X and later), iOS 17+.
