GolfIQ Privacy Policy

GolfIQ ("the app") is developed by Open Loop Studios. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how you can control it.

What we collect

• Account information. Your email address and a password, used to create and sign in to your account.
• Golf performance data. The rounds you log (course name, date, score, putts, fairways, greens) and the practice plans generated for you.
• Subscription status. Whether you have an active GolfIQ Pro subscription, so we can unlock Pro features.

How we use it

• To operate your account and sync your golf data across sessions.
• To generate your AI practice plans: your round statistics (never your name or email) are sent to an AI language-model provider to produce your plan.
• To process subscriptions: purchases are handled by Apple, and subscription state is managed by RevenueCat using an anonymous user identifier.

Service providers

• Supabase — authentication and database hosting for your account and golf data.
• OpenAI — receives anonymized round statistics to generate practice plans.
• RevenueCat — subscription management. Receives your purchase receipts from Apple and an anonymous user identifier.
• Apple — payment processing for subscriptions.

What we don't do

• We do not sell your data.
• We do not show ads or share your data with advertisers.
• We do not use your data to track you across other companies' apps or websites.

Data retention & deletion

Your data is kept while your account is active. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time in the app: Profile → Delete Account. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone. You can also request deletion by email.
